Dimanche dernier, ma famille et moi sommes allés au 20è Festival International de la Bande Dessinée à Contern.
Nous y avons vu l'exposition avec planches originales de Servais et Jean-Claude Servais était là en personne!
Then we met Lucien Czuga and Roger Leiner who were advertising "Hot Cuisine". The sense of humour in this comic strip is very sweet and politically correct. I like the preface by a certain Béa Blister of course. I also like the complaining customer. He is so sweet. The Mamma is a real "Mamma". I like page 40. I could use it at an A1 or A2 level in French to make my students speak about food as a starter. The amount of French in this album is nicely surprising. There is even a bit of German (on page 34). And the written way the italian speak French. "Hot Cuisine" is not as "hot" as one can expect it to be. Lucien Czuga and Roger Leiner could make a "hotter" "hot cuisine" number two. I like the stereotype of Spiderman who wants more flies. Very sweet. And all the deliberate spelling mistakes in French. So funny!
Pour finir, nous avons rencontré Marcel Uderzo, le frère d'Albert Uderzo. J'ai trouvé que Marcel Uderzo et moi avons beaucoup de points communs. Marcel Uderzo a fait un portfolio de 16 illustrations originales de Pin-Up. Il m'en a même fait une belle en dédicace. Ses Pin-Up sont belles et sensuelles et elles posent dans de beaux cadres avec de belles voitures anciennes, avions, motos ou bateaux. Marcel Uderzo dessine aussi de beaux avions. Mais les avions de chasse sont moins mon style.
Il faisait beau, il faisait chaud et j'ai même revu une ancienne collègue retraitée, Rossana, que je salue au passage.
