"Time is money". Three characters in Chinese to say the same thing, whereas in French, you need more than three words: "Le temps, c'est de l'argent". It is a Chinese Professor who gave me this painting, because I had spent some time teaching him French, while he taught me some Chinese. It was a long time ago, when I was a student. Yet, I can't say I can speak Chinese. Our common language was English. All this to show that English and Chinese are closer in structure than French and Chinese are. I have been meditating this saying a lot since.
