C’est Irene, une grande amie et une amie de la famille, qui m’a commandé cette peinture.  Elle n’aime que le noir et le blanc.  J’ai donc fait l’effort de peindre dans ces couleurs pour elle, parce qu’elle voulait absolument un tableau de moi.  Jamais je n’aurais pensé qu’un jour je pendrai en noir et blanc.  Certains de mes amis artistes sont passés par cette phase ou y sont encore.  Mais moi !  Bref, vous pourriez être surpris mais il faudra attendre jusqu’à 2019 pour que je sorte de cette phase.  Et voyez comment je vais ensuite retourner aux couleurs…En attendant, depuis ce jour, je ne remarque que ce qui est en noir et blanc autour de moi, les vêtements, les objets etc.  C’est étrange !

Irene, a great friend of mine and of my family, ordered this painting from me.  She only likes black and white.  I therefore made the effort of painting in these colours for her, because she really wanted a painting by me.  And from there on, I decided to paint in black and white.    You know who of my friends artists have gone through this phase or are still in it. Concerning myself, this phase will last until 2019.  Wait and see which colours I will use in my paintings then…In the meantime and since this day, I only particularly notice what is in black and white around me.  Objects, clothes and so on.  Weird.
