Pour finir, je vais vous interpréter le tableau de Gzim BEHRAMI, aussi membre de l’Académie Européenne des Arts To finish, I will interpret  Gzim BEHRAMI’s painting.  Gzim is also member of the European Academy of Arts.

C’est un tableau sur la nostalgie et l’appartenance.  Gzim et son oncle  sont assis sur un banc et ils regardent deux choses : Toutes les maisons qui sont devant eux, le domaine qui appartenait à son oncle.  Mais ici, Gzim et son oncle ne sont que des fantômes.  Quelque part, c’est le passé qu’ils admirent et sur lequel ils s’apitoient.

This is a painting on bygone times and belonging.

Gzim and his uncle are sitting on a bench and they are looking at two things:  First at all the houses that were once to his uncle.  But here, Gzim and his uncle are only ghosts.  In a way, they are admiring the past, bygone days and they long this past.

En même temps, ils regardent le ciel.  Et le ciel, c’est le Paradis.  Et là, il se passe des choses…

Then, the other thing they are looking at is the sky.  And there, they see nice things happening…Such is Paradise!

Tout ce qu’on a sur terre, quand on meurt, on le perd ou comme ma grand-mère le disait à ma mère qui me l’a ensuite répété : « You can’t take it all with you when you die » en d’autres termes, on ne peut pas tout emporter avec nous quand on meurt.  C’est une leçon que j’ai aussi apprise dans ma vie, à me détacher des choses.

Everything we possess on earth, as my Grandma used to tell my mother who then told me: « You can’t take it all with you when you die ».  it is also a lesson I learnt of life, to be detached from this material world.
